TWO Scottish expatriates have unveiled the world's first robotic legs for wheelchair users after coming up with the design when one of them was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

School friends Richard Little and Robert Irving spent seven years and £5million developing the battery-powered robotic exoskeleton, called REX.
Surprisingly, the concept was dreamt up on the back of a beer mat as they shared a pint after Robert had been diagnosed with MS.
